Best of Brisbane (Lifestyle content | The Courier-Mail)

Best of Brisbane (BoB) content is made to drive page views and subscriptions by focusing on local people and businesses. We ask for nominations then put the vote out to the public before I collect the results and compile the top 10. One of my best performing BoB’s was the Top 10 Brisbane Wedding Celebrants (below), which gained 10 subscribers alone and had over 25k page views, which resulted in a shoutout from both the digital editor and also The Courier-Mail Editor Chris Jones for having one of the best performing articles of the week. Most recently, I suggested butchers as the weekly topic and it was extremely successful with over 3000 votes and 5 subscribers from the article. The Top 10 Brisbane Butchers article was viewed more than 50k times and was in the top 10 most viewed articles on The Courier-Mail website over the weekend (8/5/20 – 10/5/20).

As the nature of The Courier-Mail’s Best of Brisbane is part of their premium (paid) content, I’ve attached the print versions so you’re able to read the entire copy of some of my favourite BoB’s.

If you click here, you’ll see the Best of Brisbane page under the lifestyle header on the newspaper’s website, all of which I have built, written, and sourced images for, since the first BoB of 2020. I have continued being responsible for the Best of Brisbane content under U on Sunday editor Laura Chalmers and digital editor Tanya French.
